In the era of globalization, the nursing profession offers unlimited opportunities in the highly competitive international job market. Despite such vast prospects, the number of government nursing colleges and institutes remains insufficient. Therefore, with the aim of producing skilled and competent nurses and creating employment opportunities both at home and abroad, Professor Dr. Hosne-Ara Begum (Ashoka Fellow and PHF), a pioneer in humanitarian service, and Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque Khan, a distinguished son of Madaripur, have jointly established the Wazedah Kuddus Foundation Nursing Institute in the Madaripur district of eastern Bengal.
